AREA SALES MANAGER UK
The position
- An enthusiastic, Sales Manager, with social skills, self motivation and with a hunger for success;
- Liaison with technical/commercial (potential) customers;
- Reports to the UK-based Regional Sales Director;
- Contributor to the yearly UK Marketing & Sales plan with input in defining budgets and plans;
- Also responsible for:
o Realization of the yearly specified targets;
o Delivery of periodical reports, analyses and forecasts;
o Estimates, margins, discounts, contracts, etc.;
o Sales supporting activities such as trade shows, catalogues and marketing activities.
Qualifications:
- (Technical/Commercial) Higher Vocational Education;
- Broad-based knowledge of the broadcast industry, with significant demonstrable sales experience.
- Familiarity with and thorough technical understanding of the infrastructure of television broadcast environment;
- Managerial experience will be preferred
- Representative, driven (self-starter) and result-oriented;
- Willingness to travel;
- Able to work under pressure, and with excellent communicative, social and analyzing skills;

At this moment Axon sells in Germany using a third party distribution channel. Per 2012 Axon will start her German sales activities directly and wishes to hire a:
SALES MANAGER GERMANY
Tasks:
Commercial activities:
• setting up direct relations with end-users, including networks, broadcast groups, and government to achieve the targeted sales volume
• setting up strong relationships with System Integrators, involve product management staff from HQ, with the goal to become a preferred supplier
• develop and manage Re-Seller Channels.
This includes activities like:
• developing and maintaining expert knowledge of the Axon product line (technical back-up from HQ);
• developing pricing plans that balance competitive advantage and product line profitability;
• developing sales training plans and materials for the products (with back-up from HQ);
• developing sales forecasts for the products;
• developing promotional plans for the products;
• working with Product Management to determine competitive product and pricing strategy;
• evangelizes products to potential customers, third-party integrators/ resellers and trade press;
Responsibilities:
The Sales Manager Germany will have responsibility for handling all activities necessary to market the product lines. This includes managing and guiding:
• support, whereby the Sales Manager is expected to manage both after-sales and pre-sales activities;
• demos; manage to efficiently share and ship amongst prospects;
• logistics; guidance in achieving efficient ways to ship product out of HQ;
• marketing; helping to define and execute the German marketing/marcom plan;
Skills:
• (Technical/Commercial) Higher Vocational Education;
• broad-based knowledge of the global broadcast industry and its players in
general as well as the potential customer base in Germany;
• familiarity with the infrastructure of television broadcast environment.

Als Engineer maak je deel uit van meerdere projectteams en speel je een voorname rol in het ontwikkel- en nazorgtraject ten aanzien van productkwaliteit en produceerbaarheid. Je draagt op zorgvuldige wijze zorg voor het verzamelen, opslaan en onderhouden van alle productdocumentatie en verzorgt de vrijgave van producten naar toeleveranciers. Om succesvol te zijn in je werk zorg je ervoor dat je uitstekend op de hoogte bent van de actualiteit op je vakgebied.
BELANGRIJKSTE TAKEN:
- lost problemen op die na vrijgave van het product naar voren komen, waar nodig met behulp van de productontwikkelaar;
- verzorgt alle technische communicatie met de toeleverancier m.b.t. productie
- denkt mee over/signaleert verbeteringsmogelijkheden in het engineering proces;
- controleert en completeert de TPD van producten en geeft die vrij naar de toeleverancier;
- neemt actief deel aan change control management;
- beheert de aanwezige technische productinformatiesystemen (TPD, componentenbibliotheek, PCB CAD lay-out en versiebeheer) en legt wijzigingen hierin vast;
- toetst samen met de ontwikkelaar en de toeleverancier de testbaarheid van producten;
- neemt deel aan het periodieke overleg (met afdeling R&D, engineers of de projectgroep waarin hij participeert);
- heeft periodiek overleg met toeleveranciers over productkwaliteit en nieuwe ontwikkelingen;
VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN:
- correct, compleet en inzichtelijk maken en vastleggen van alle product-informatie en deze actueel houden t.b.v. productie en kwaliteitsbewaking;
- correct en tijdig onderhoud plegen aan courante producten;
- het realiseren van verbeteringen ten behoeve van een optimale inrichting en uitvoering van processen en optimale inzet van technologieën, methoden en instrumenten;
GEVRAAGD OPLEIDINGSNIVEAU:
Minimaal MBO-elektrotechniek met enige jaren ervaring of HBO-elektrotechniek.
SPECIFIEKE KENNIS EN ERVARING:
- Algemene kennis van alle disciplines bij R&D;
- Kennis van elektronica, hardware in het bijzonder;
- Kennis van CAD-systeem is een pré;
