AXON APPOINTS MARK BARKEY AS REGIONAL SALES MANAGER MIDDLE EASTJuly 15th, 2008

AXON is pleased to announce that it has strengthened its international sales force with the appointment of Mark Barkey as Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East, based in Dubai.

AXON has been active in the Middle East region for over 10 years.  Because of the strong growth in the region, it has always been in AXON’s strategic planning to establish a local presence.  Mark Barkey has been living in the Middle East for 15 years and has many years of experience in the broadcast industry a.o. when he was heading the Philips Broadcast office in Dubai.  Following the take over by Thomson of the Philips Broadcast activities, Mark joined Lighting Middle East & Africa, as Country Group Manager, which added to his overall exposure in the Middle Eastern markets.

Mark is based in Dubai and will be responsible for the following countries: United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Pakistan and reporting to Marc Derks.
