EMBEDDED SW DEVELOPER
Taken:
- plannen van de werkzaamheden binnen een project;
- onderzoekt of nieuwe technologieën en componenten toepasbaar zijn;
- onderzoekt nieuwe meetapparatuur en nieuwe gereedschappen;
- signaleert verbeteringsmogelijkheden ten aanzien van producten en instrumenten;
- bewaakt de kwaliteit van de eigen werkzaamheden;
- neemt deel aan het periodieke overleg van de afdeling R&D;
- houd zich op de hoogte van ontwikkelingen in het vakgebied en volgt in dit kader opleidingen en cursussen;
- Neemt deel aan projecten waarin nieuwe producten worden ontwikkeld, en kan daarin het aanspreekpunt zijn op het gebied van de technische inhoud;
- maakt de vertaling van specificatie naar implementatie
- schat de doorlooptijd en de kosten die gemoeid zijn bij het ontwikkelen van het product;
- bewaakt de voortgang en kosten van eigen werkzaamheden, uitgaande van budget en planning;
- neemt deel aan regelmatig projectoverleg met engineers;
- voert eventuele overige taken uit, voorzover deze niet conflicteren met de doelstelling van de functie.
Verantwoordelijkheden:
- Correct en tijdig ontwikkelen van (delen van) producten;
- Goede kwaliteit van het uiteindelijke product;
- Correcte documentatie van de eigen werkzaamheden.
Wij vragen:
- HBO-/Universitair niveau (Elektrotechniek of Informatica)
- Ruime kennis (4-6 jaar) van embedded software:
In een hardwareontwerp meedenken, schema lezen en tot leven te brengen met software, met name:
- embedded software op microcontrollers, met en zonder RTOS, met name in C.
- embedded Linux, GNU tool chain en cross-compilers, boot loaders, kernel device drivers in C.
- multicore processing, POSIX threading, synchronisatie en real-time interfaces.
- ervaring met ARM, PowerPC, MIPS en/of x86, met basis assembly kennis.
- applicatie-ontwikkeling voor high-availability applicaties in C en C++.
- Goede kennis van de Engelse taal
- Kennis van video en/of audio signaal processing
- Ervaring (1-3 jaar) met project management, productontwikkeling, -testen en documenteren

The position
- An enthusiastic, Sales Manager, with social skills, self motivation and with a hunger for success;
- Liaison with technical/commercial (potential) customers;
- Reports to the UK-based Regional Sales Director;
- Contributor to the yearly UK Marketing & Sales plan with input in defining budgets and plans;
- Also responsible for:
o Realization of the yearly specified targets;
o Delivery of periodical reports, analyses and forecasts;
o Estimates, margins, discounts, contracts, etc.;

Qualifications:

At this moment Axon sells in Germany using a third party distribution channel. Per 2012 Axon will start her German sales activities directly and wishes to hire a:
SALES MANAGER GERMANY
Tasks:
Commercial activities:
• setting up direct relations with end-users, including networks, broadcast groups, and government to achieve the targeted sales volume
• setting up strong relationships with System Integrators, involve product management staff from HQ, with the goal to become a preferred supplier
• develop and manage Re-Seller Channels.
This includes activities like:
• developing and maintaining expert knowledge of the Axon product line (technical back-up from HQ);
• developing pricing plans that balance competitive advantage and product line profitability;
• developing sales training plans and materials for the products (with back-up from HQ);
• developing sales forecasts for the products;
• developing promotional plans for the products;
• working with Product Management to determine competitive product and pricing strategy;
• evangelizes products to potential customers, third-party integrators/ resellers and trade press;
Responsibilities:
The Sales Manager Germany will have responsibility for handling all activities necessary to market the product lines. This includes managing and guiding:
• support, whereby the Sales Manager is expected to manage both after-sales and pre-sales activities;
• demos; manage to efficiently share and ship amongst prospects;
• logistics; guidance in achieving efficient ways to ship product out of HQ;
• marketing; helping to define and execute the German marketing/marcom plan;
Skills:

general as well as the potential customer base in Germany;
